Partial Service Outage – Blackboard

Update:

We are now seeing that CenturyLink servers are resolving correctly and that Blackboard, and other services, are available from off campus. If you continue to have issues, please contact us.

We are aware of an issue affecting users ability to reach blackboard. These cases seem to be restricted to CenturyLink users.

IMPACT:

Users on CenturyLink Internet service are unable to reach BlackBoard via the normal link.

WORKAROUND:

An additional link on the LMS login page has been added to allow access for those users on CenturyLink. To utilize this work around do the following:

  • Go to uccs.edu
  • Click Log In on the right of the page
  • Choose Blackboard/Canvas/Ultra
  • Choose Direct Blackboard Login
  • This work around will require you to accept the security certificate for blackboard.com

Service Degradation – myUCCS Portal logins/HCM

University Information Systems (UIS) has identified an issue that is currently causing slow logins to the CU Resources tab in the myUCCS portal.

 

IMPACT:

Customers are experiencing slow log in times, or slow response times when switching to the “CU Resources” tab. This issue may also affect the speed of HCM.

The Faculty and Student tabs are not associated with this issue.

WORKAROUNDS:

There are no available workarounds at this time.

Planned Maintenance – Wireless Network 6/6/17

Update:

The maintenance is completed. If you are having issues connecting to the Wireless network please contact us.

Tomorrow morning (6/6/2017), the wireless network will be receiving maintenance between the hours of 7:30am and 8:00am. During this time, the wireless network will not be available. Once the maintenance is completed, devices should reconnect on their own.
