The active alerts on campus are as follows:

Portal Maintenance Tonight (2/25/2015) 7:00 pm – 12:00 am

This evening (2-25-2015) from 7:00 pm to 12:00 am, there will be multiple portal services unavailable while University Information Systems (UIS) is performing maintenance on several systems. Below is a brief summary of the maintenance schedule.

All portals including, but not limited to the following will be unavailable on February 25th between the hours of 7:00pm and 12:00am:


  • Student, Employee and Faculty Portals (
  • Campus Solutions
  • HR and Finance Systems
  • DARS
  • Singularity (Document Management)
  • Cognos
  • Concur
  • CU Marketplace
  • Skillsoft


UCCS specific resources will remain available during the outage. These resources include the following:


  • Blackboard
  • Student Email
  • Staff and Faculty Email
  • Library
  • VPN
  • Computer Labs



Portal maintenance was completed yesterday at about 8:00pm with no issues.

Network Maintenance Tomorrow (2/25/2015) From 7:30am to 8:00am

Tomorrow morning (2/25/2015), from 7:30am to 8:00am, we will be performing maintenance on the campus internet connection. During this time, internet connectivity may be unavailable in 30 second intervals while the system switches to a backup link and then back to the primary link. If you experience internet connectivity issues during this time please wait and try again after 8:00am.


The maintenance on the network has been completed as of this morning. All affected services should be working as expected.

Server Maintenance Tonight (2/24/2015) from 5:00pm to 6:30pm

This evening (2/24/15) the IT department will be performing maintenance on the Pro and Webworks servers from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM.  These servers handle the following services and websites:

  • IT Username Assistance page
  • e2campus Emergency Notification system – Registrations and account changes only.  The UCCS community will still receive text messages in the event of an emergency.
  • SSL websites with forms
  • Faculty and Staff Email list – You will not be able to send email to faculty-l or staff-l during this outage.
  • Institutional Research –
  • UCCS on iTunes U log in
  • Academic ethics code violation reporting site
  • Scholarly Report Database
  • Student Employment Assistance Network (SEAN’s Place)
  • Volunteer Information Network and Community Exchange (VINCE)

During this time the above  listed sites and services will be unavailable. Please contact the Help Desk if you have any questions or concerns.



The maintenance on Webworks and Pro has been completed as of yesterday afternoon. All affected services should be working as expected.

Restored – Student Email

At about 12:00pm today (February 17th)  we noticed an issue with student emails failing to arrive in Faculty and Staff inboxes. Upon further investigation, we saw these emails were hung up in a queue on Office 365. After determining the root cause of the issue, the tech team was able to restore the flow of email traffic.  At this time, student, staff and faculty email is working as intended and all delayed emails have been delivered.
